Andreas Kistler has received his MD degree from the University of Zurich in 2002. He has been trained in Internal Medicine and Nephrology in Zürich and Miami, including a postdoctoral research fellowship in Jochen Reiser’s group at the University of Miami. Currently, Dr. Kistler is Department Chief of Medicine at the Cantonal Hospital Frauenfeld, Thurgau, and serves as a lecturer at the Universities of Zurich and St. Gallen. His main research interests and areas of expertise include (a) glomerular diseases with a special focus on membranous nephropathy and other autoimmune glomerular diseases; (b)genetic kidney diseases with a special focus on autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease; and (c) practical treatment aspects in hemodialysis patients.
