SNF Agora: Fascinating Kidneys!

Fascinating Kidneys! – A Journey of Discovery for All Ages

Kidney disease affects many people in Switzerland – often without them even realizing it, since kidney damage typically causes no symptoms until it is far advanced. New therapies offer real hope for early intervention, but taking full advantage of them requires greater public awareness of kidney health. This is where Fascinating Kidneys! comes in: an interactive exhibition inviting children, young people, and their families to discover just how vital and fascinating this essential organ truly is.

Come learn more about the kidney! Join us at one of our upcoming "Erklärstation" sessions at Kulturama Museum (in German and English):

  • Sunday, 18 October, 14:30–15:30
  • Sunday, 22 November, 14:30–15:30
  • Sunday, 17 January, 14:30–15:30
  • Sunday, 21 March, 14:30–15:30

Can't make it on one of these dates? The kidney sculpture is on display at Kulturama Museum during regular opening hours – stop by anytime and try the digital kidney game, where you can test your skills at filtering the good stuff for your body.

This exhibit was created in 2026 as part of an Agora project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
